First a warning. Altough online paymentare reasonably safe a certain chance offalling victim to somekind of fraud always exists. Many people are not familiar with the steps involved in making a payment and so may fall victim easier. Thats very unfortunate but not really any different than the dangers involved in dealing with money in the "real world". the problem with online fraud is its often harder to detect or more difficult to notice is perhaps a better way of describing as you never come in touch with the physical cash. Online money frauds are really the same as "regular" farud, with the exception that of ten technology is used to perform the crime. But not always, if your acount details fall into the wrong hands they can be misused quite easily and thats comparable to misplacing your ATM card with the pin number written to it. Everyone understands the dangers involved. So please be aware and only use trusted payment methods.

Secondly a note. Withdrawing money from a poker room is never as fast as is depositing. Be prepared to wait for your cash to arrive in your bank account anywhere from a day to about a week. Its just how it is. If you are prepared to live with that you will be fine and can enjoy "the fruits of your labor", if the poker gods see fit.

To play poker online a player must somehow manage to fund his poker room acount. Generally speaking this is done by transferring money online from 1 source to another wether it be by using a credit card to make the payment or using an online money account.

To be prescise the steps are DEPOSIT money to online account-transfer money from online money acount such as moneybookers for example to your preferred poker room - use the money to play poker. These steps vary as if you make a deposit directly from your bank acount or credit card you wont need to use an online money service. And in some poker rooms once the money is in your poker room account you still may need to make a transfer within the poker room from cashier to poker for example or something similar. It sounds more complex than it really is.

These online money accounts are much like banks (they wont give you any interest though! also generally the only fees incurred are per transaction, no balance or no transactions - no fees either). Most of them are trustworthy (not necessarisly all, please see above and use your sense when giving out sensitive information) and all of them have refined their services over the years and become easier and smoother to use. Having an account in 1 or more online money services will make depositing and withdrawing money to and from your poker accounts easier as not all poker rooms accept all payment methods.

Lets say you wish to take advantage of a bonus promotion on a site, only running for a limited time, or your bankroll on one site is extremely high while another site is running a bit low. Transferring money from one poker account to the other could be the answer.

I have found the use of online money accounts very useful. they are often faster to use when you want to make money transfers ffrom on e poker room to another for example. Their fees are reasonable and it also helsp me to keep my bankroll separate from the rest of my cash.

Some of the most common/trusted/popular payment systems are listed below, in a slight order of personal preference..
